Hey, I’m Katie Budrow, a middle school science teacher that is lucky to work for an amazing school district in the Chicagoland area. The perspectives shared here are definitely my own and should not be considered reflective of the views of any of my employers.
I’ve got a project-based, standards-based classroom where students are led, not managed. This allows students to shift from learning science to becoming scientists themselves. I also work with teachers to help them implement these practices in their own classrooms.
Teaching is the best job but the hardest job. I know science can help us all do it a little better. I’m always learning about ways to make teaching and learning better. There are so many amazing things already happening in classrooms around the globe, and yet there is always a new problem that requires a solution.
If you are interested in working with me in whatever capacity, let’s talk!
